Jason is the Founding Director & CEO at Red Analytics and Founder Director of Red Garage Ventures, which is backed by The Coca-Cola Company and is part of the Coca-Cola Founders platform. He was also a Founding member of Coca-Cola’s first Accelerator, a network of entrepreneurs working in the most innovative cities worldwide to build the next generation of billion dollar businesses with the support of Coca-Cola.
Jason has a passion for turning ideas into reality, and brings a wealth of experience from working with all types of businesses – be it early stage startups, large multinationals or anything in between.
Jason started his career in a boutique media production house in Sydney and after completing his MBA joined Accenture’s Strategy Practice, focusing on transformation initiatives for Telco, Media and Entertainment clients and in parallel, helped raise VC funding for a business with breakthrough technology in 3D sound. He then joined the internal strategy division of Macquarie Group, offering strategic advice and expertise across all of Macquarie’s businesses and divisions, and relocated to New York to establish the North American office, advising Macquarie’s businesses in its priority growth region.
When Jason returned to Australia and he joined Rocket Internet – a leading Venture Builder – as part of the management team of Zanui and also worked with Alive Mobile as Head of New Ventures, where he was prototyping a disruptive innovation for the recruitment industry.
In 2013, he was hired as part of the first team globally so set up internal startups for the Coca-Cola Accelerator (now Founders Platform). In 2014, it was spun out of Coca-Cola and set up as Red Garage Ventures, which builds startups connected toCoca-Cola’s global assets and investment.
In 2015, he completed a joint venture with NICTA to create HIVERY. The Hivery has a propriety algorithm framework that represents the next frontier of data analytics – combining artificial intelligence, machine learning, optimisation and design thinking, and which helps companies grow their profit line by building prescriptive analytics tools which solve problems in ways that humans cannot. The products created represent a significant increase in sales and savings in cost for their clients – the Vending Optimiser tool deployed on Coca-Cola’s 30,000 vending machines in Australia is generating 20+% revenue uplift and an 18% reduction in restock trips.
Jason loves seeing creativity rewarded and new businesses succeed. Growing up Jason was lucky enough to take time off school to travel with camera crews filming stories for shows like Beyond 2000 and Invention on the Discovery Channel and it was during this time that his passion for new ideas was born.
