Drew Crawford is an award-winning composer, producer, sound designer, arranger, songwriter and educator. With a body of work across a diverse and exceptional range of acoustic and electronic music production environments, in both ‘pure music’ and multimedia contexts, Drew’s output spans contemporary classical, opera, theatre, dance, pop, cabaret, installation, TV, film, and digital platforms.
He has performed across Europe, North America, Asia and Australasia, and been commissioned and presented by some of Australia’s leading performing arts organisations.
Graduating in 1995 from Sydney University with First Class Honours & the University Medal for Music, and awarded his PhD in composition in 2005. Drew currently teaches Composition and Music Production at the Australian Institute of Music and has spent ten years developing a compositional instruction technique that is independent of genre.
