Andrew Hoyne is the founding principal of leading Australian place visioning and branding agency, Hoyne. He’s been working in and around the property sector for the last 25 years, helping major Australian and international developers and councils create recognisable landmarks across Australia. This, coupled with his travels around the world, means he’s seen how the power of effective placemaking can completely transform communities.
He’s passionate in his belief that we can do more to create meaningful places, and this has led him to publish The Place Economy, a significant resource book that looks at best practice placemaking around the world. Through a mix of interviews, case studies and research, the books aims to demonstrate the categorical link between better placemaking and significantly higher profits; both the returns that developers and investors can enjoy, as well as the coinciding upswing in economic performance and community wellbeing.
