Event Details

Riding high on the success of her acclaimed debut album Salt, Melbourne singer-songwriter Angie McMahon makes her Sydney Opera House debut in a special solo piano performance in the Drama Theatre for Vivid LIVE.

A gifted songwriter, guitarist and evocative vocalist, McMahon has worked her way into audience hearts with a string of low-key anthems and raw live performances. She famously got her break winning a competition to support Bon Jovi back in 2013, before disappearing to hone her craft. The result was 2017’s certified-gold smash “Slow Mover”, which went on to be nominated for APRA Song of the Year, followed by hits including “Missing Me”, “Keeping Time” and the infectious ode to lethargy, “Pasta”. Drawing inspiration from Bruce Springsteen, Lianne La Havas and Big Thief, her 2019 debut, Salt, was released to widespread acclaim, praised for McMahon’s stunning, k.d. lang-meets-Florence vocals and music that moves between intimate whispers and PJ Harvey-esque guitar catharsis.

Don’t miss this chance to experience one of Australia’s most exciting new talents.

Check if your venue has this system.
