Event Details

An exciting new signing to tastemaking label Astral People Recordings, Skeleten is the musical moniker of Russell Fitzgibbon, a rising Sydney dance artist whose work – restless, experimental, shape-shifting – has evolved in tandem with the city’s vibrant electronic scene, from maximalist beats to a more introspective, though no less exciting groove.

With echoes of Arthur Russell and King Krule, Skeleten’s debut releases ‘Mirrored’, ‘Biting Stone’, ‘Walking On Your Name’, ‘Live In Another World’, and his Digitalism approved cover of ‘Pogo’ announced the arrival of his hypnotic new sound, a space in which the audience might step out of time. Following ‘Mirrored’ being nominated for Song of the Year at FBi Radio’s Sydney Music, Art and Culture (SMAC) Awards, Skeleten caught the attention of Logic1000, who, fresh from remixes for Caribou and Christine and the Queens, lent her talents to remixing his latest offering ‘Walking On Your Name’.

A perfect fit for the intimate, communal space of the Studio, Skeleten will bring his evocative soundscapes and ethereal vocals to Vivid LIVE with a full live band and never before seen accompanying visuals.
