Konzertprojekt Presents: Saturation

Light Qualities is an exciting series of four concerts presented by emerging Sydney-based composer-performer collective Konzertprojekt in collaboration with St Stephen’s Uniting Church. The mini-festival showcases a diverse range of Australian music focusing on new music and emerging musicians, and presents some of the up-and-coming musical voices of Sydney.

Each of the Light Qualities concerts takes its title from a different method of photo manipulation. Saturation starts the mini-festival with a bang – immersing the audience in music that has just been developed. 

Sound curators Liam Mulligan and Sophie Van Dijk each contribute new works in response to the idea of Saturation, to be premiered on the night. The concert showcases a diverse range of pieces written by and performed by Konzertprojekt musicians. From improvised music to accompany visuals and poetry by Gabrielle Cadenhead and Liam Mulligan, to a haunting solo euphonium and tape piece by Rhys Little, there is something fresh for everyone.
