Event Details

NAO robots are becoming increasingly popular around the world, especially in areas of education and healthcare. Their humanoid shape, sensors, motors and software allow them to interact with people by listening and speaking, sensing their surroundings, recognising shapes and objects, and much more. Utterly adorable, NAOs are changing the ways humans and machines interact.

Do you already have a NAO robot? Are you thinking about investing in one? Are you interested in finding out what a humanoid robot could bring to your home life, work and even your school's STEAM programs? It’s time to explore how robots that talk and respond can be part of your community, business and education programs.

Join us for this one-off event that features a workshop presented by NAO experts from The Brainary in Melbourne, a demonstration by the Robocup Challenge finalists from UNSW, and a look at how NAO robots are improving the lives of seniors in the Mark Moran Aged Care Facility. You’ll enjoy all this and a networking lunch with the chance to talk about – and even talk to – a robot.

If you already have a NAO robot, bring it along to meet other bots and receive a discount on your ticket!

The Sydney suburb of Rhodes opens its arms to residents and visitors with Rhodes: Creative. Discover a vibrant community bringing creativity and technology to the fore.  Join us at The Connection for a program of masterclasses, workshops, activities and talks that focus on 3D printing, robots and wearable art and tech.

Brought to you by the City of Canada Bay Council.
