Access and Inclusion

  • Companion Card Acceptance - The Companion Card is for people with a significant permanent disability, who always need a companion to provide attendant care type support in order to participate at most available community venues and activities.
  • Hearing Loop - A hearing loop (sometimes called an audio induction loop) is a special type of sound system for use by people with hearing aids. The hearing loop provides a magnetic, wireless signal that is picked up by the hearing aid when it is set to 'T' (Telecoil) setting. Many venues have an induction hearing loop system. Check if your venue has this system.
  • Wheelchair Accessible - Access to the venue is suitable for wheelchairs (toilets, ramps/lifts etc.) and designated wheelchair spaces are available.

Event Details

Swipe right on love and the planet. This blind date panel is all about finding your sustainability match or 'cli-mate', as comedians and scientists run through the big eco questions around fast fashion, diet and how we live our lives.

Finding the perfect match in 2023 is more complicated than ever before. And with so much emphasis on our individual ethical actions, it can be hard to know where you land on the eco-warrior scale – let alone making sure you’re on the same page as a potential partner.

This light-hearted interactive night might not help you find your true cli-mate – don't worry, you won't actually be forced to speed date – but it will challenge you to reconsider your everyday choices.

Join biologist Dr Naomi Koh Belic (ABC Science), marine ecologist Dr Alex Thomson, former hospital scientist and The Buoys lead singer Zoe Catterall, and biologist and podcaster Anastasia Shavrova for this fun and fresh twist on a dating show, where you'll leave better informed on how you can decrease your carbon footprint.
