Event Details

Van Badham - Guardian columnist, Drum panellist and Q and A cause célèbre - teaches a unique masterclass for aspiring pundits and professional communicators alike. In this fast paced one and a half hour workshop, participants will be talked through the structural principles of how to write commentary and op-ed, examine some great writing, learn how the media works and hear a few jokes and mad stories, all with Van’s affable flair.

Van Badham is a Melbourne-based theatre maker, journalist, critic, academic, activist, novelist and occasional broadcaster. She is currently a political columnist and culture critic for The Guardian Australia.

Van has appeared on ABC TV’s The Drum and Q&A, and speaks at numerous festivals and conferences.  She knows how to make your opinion heard.
