Event Details

There are big changes underway to recharge Sydney as a global beacon of culture, entertainment and vibrancy. These changes herald a new chapter for a revitalised economy that will see live music venues, restaurants, theatres, shops, cinemas and cultural institutions open late. The NSW Government’s 24-Hour Economy Strategy aims to lead this revival following the crushing impact of lock-out laws and the COVID pandemic on tourism, hospitality, arts and culture.

Create NSW’s panel discussion explores recent actions that have had a positive impact in this space. The panel will demonstrate how arts, screen and culture play a vital role in the 24-Hour Economy. Join us to discuss how inclusion and access is essential to ensure the 24-Hour economy is viable and how we can position arts, screen and culture at the forefront of Sydney’s revitalisation.

Access and Inclusion

  • Hearing loop - A hearing loop (sometimes called an audio induction loop) is a special type of sound system for use by people with hearing aids. The hearing loop provides a magnetic, wireless signal that is picked up by the hearing aid when it is set to 'T' (Telecoil) setting. Many venues have an induction hearing loop system. Check if your venue has this system.
  • Wheelchair accessible - Access to the venue is suitable for wheelchairs (toilets, ramps/lifts etc.) and designated wheelchair spaces are available.
