Event Details

Experience an explosion of colour, light and music as A Kaleidoscopic Tale illuminates more than 3,000 LED lights on the Ferris Wheel every night to reveal the many facets of Luna Park Sydney. It is a tale woven into the fabric of Sydney’s psyche; perhaps even part of your story was written at Luna Park.

Every story has a beginning and Luna Park’s is with the Drunken Orchestra with its brass heavy big band and Gatsby-esque sounding fun complete with bursts of colours reminiscent of a bygone era at the Park.

From there the Ferris Wheel spins into Endless Mischief, showcasing the exploratory phase in a child’s life where make-believe is king and the heightened emotions of hundreds of thousands of children can be felt through the bursts of colour permeating the Ferris Wheel, just waiting to be released around the Park.

The third chapter, Futuristic Fireworks, is an explosion of geometric fireworks reverberating across the wheel and encapsulating the celebratory moments experienced in the Park – from weddings to birthdays and of course New Year’s Eve plus all the cheering in between throughout the Park’s 83-year history. The narrative highlights three chapters so far, but we dare say there are many more still to be spun.
